Chidambaram is known across Tamil Nadu for the Nataraja temple, and a town with such a landmark is a natural home for traditional ceremonies. Tamil Nadu style is what our name stands for. At Lovely Events & Decoration we decorate weddings, valaikappu, ear-piercing functions and poojas the way the occasion deserves, with devotion first and display second. Receptions and weddings are decorated too, with the floral and drape stages shown in our gallery.
The traditional look, step by step
- A banana-leaf backdrop, often with a gold Ganesha emblem at the centre
- Rose garlands and jasmine strands as borders and hangings
- Fresh or artificial flower arrangements, as you prefer
- Neat seating for the family on the stage
- A decorated entrance with banana leaves to welcome relatives
Timing and planning
Many ceremonies are fixed around an auspicious time, so please mention the function time and the place when you contact us. We travel to Chidambaram from Panruti and will plan the set-up around your schedule. If you want something more contemporary for a reception the same evening, we can style that stage separately. Smaller home ceremonies are just as welcome. A pooja at home needs a neat backdrop and a tidy seating corner rather than a large stage, and we will size the decoration to the space you have.
